Cure 4 The Kids Foundation President and CEO Annette Logan-Parker and Roseman University of Health Sciences President Dr. Renee Coffman recently spoke with local media outlets to discuss the new partnership between the two organizations, as well as the benefits for patients, students, and the community.

Gwen Stefani continues to thrill audiences during her Las Vegas residency performances at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. We’re extremely honored and grateful that Gwen Stefani chose to support Cure 4 The Kids Foundation when she came to Las Vegas. In fact, a portion of every ticket sale is donated to our organization! This is a gracious and lasting gift to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation that will benefit our patients.
We’re also happy to see that her incredible show remains one of the “8 Hottest Las Vegas Residencies!” Tickets are available for concerts through November of 2019.

Nevada Business: Circus Couture “Encompass” Raises $279K for Cure 4 the Kids Foundation
During its ninth spectacular year, Circus Couture “Encompass” raised an impressive $279,000 in support of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation! More than 1,200 people attended the event held at Brooklyn Bowl.
Broadway World Las Vegas: Circus Couture’s Encompass
This year, Circus Couture will combine immersive theater emphasizing the importance of space and design in an environment focusing on a personal experience for each guest. The artistic explosion Encompass will be held at the Brooklyn Bowl on Oct. 12.

Nevada Business: Storybook Homes Donates $500,000 to the Long-Term Follow-Up Clinic for Childhood Cancer Survivors
The principals of StoryBook Homes, Wayne and Catherine Laska, know quite a bit about childhood cancer. Their son, Collin, was diagnosed with a Wilms’ Tumor as a child. Despite Collin’s stage four diagnosis, he survived. As the Laska family would learn, there were few resources to help educate patients and families about what are called the “late effects” of childhood cancer treatments.
Their journey for answers over many years encouraged them to underwrite the StoryBook Homes Long-Term Follow-Up Clinic for Childhood Cancer Survivors. The clinic’s mission is to educate patients about the possible side-effects of their specific cancer treatments and to encourage patients about the importance of monitoring their health as they grow older. Each patient that visits the clinic is provided with a binder that highlights the specific cancer treatments they underwent, as well as the possible side effects that could occur from those treatments. This binder is meant to be shared with any future medical provider no matter where the patient may relocate. The StoryBook Homes Long-Term Follow-Up Clinic for Childhood Cancer Survivors is available to any childhood cancer survivor no matter where they received their treatment.

KTNV – Virtual reality goggles help ease the pain of cancer treatment for kids
Thanks to a grant written in part by Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s neuropsychologist, Dr. Danielle Bello, and some very special virtual reality goggles provided by KIND VR, many treatments will be much more tolerable for our patients. KTNV’s Parker Collins explains how this new device is distracting patients from any pain.

Golf 4 The Kids Raises $70,000; Will Help Provide Treatment to Children Battling Cancer
Our mission to never turn a child away from treatment for financial reasons is something we feel strongly about. But that guarantee can also be expensive. Our Charity Care Program allows us to treat patients without medical insurance or without the ability to pay for treatment. One of the fundraisers that directly supports the Charity Care Program is Golf 4 The Kids, and this year our tournament was exceedingly successful!
More than $70,000 was raised through the generous support of golfers, corporate sponsors and others who donated to the cause. Our sincere thanks and we hope to see you for our 2019 event!
