What is Physical Therapy?

Physical therapy is a medical profession that aims to decrease pain, while helping patients move and function better in their daily lives. Not only will it assist with rehabilitation following surgeries and procedures, but it will also prevent secondary comorbidities from developing. The pediatric physical therapy doctors at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation are specially trained to improve the lives and daily function of children with a wide range of medical diagnoses. They will diagnose and treat neurological, musculoskeletal, and functional impairments and conditions which commonly coincide with treatments such as chemotherapy. The role of our physical therapy doctors is to work with the child and their family to help the child reach his or her maximum potential and decrease pain, while promoting active participation at home, school and in the community.
