The Rheumatology Program at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation

At Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, our Pediatric Rheumatology team provides expert, family-centered care for children and teens under the age of 18 living with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. These conditions can affect joints, skin, muscles, and organs and often require specialized, long-term management.

We know these diagnoses can feel overwhelming for families. That’s why our approach focuses on clarity, collaboration, and continuity of care, supporting both patients and providers every step of the way.

Dr. Luciana Paim Marques, Pediatric Rheumatologist

Dr. Luciana Paim Marques, Ph.D.

Pediatric Rheumatologist  

Dr. Luciana Paim Marques is a pediatric rheumatologist with over 15 years of clinical practice. Prior to joining Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, she served as a professor at the University of Fortaleza’s medical school program for 9 years, specializing in neurology, psychiatry, and rheumatology modules.

Deeply involved in rheumatology, teaching, and research, she diagnoses and manages chronic rheumatologic conditions in children, such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and other connective tissue disorders.

Angela Berg, DNP, APRN, CPNP

Nurse Practitioner | Director of Specialty Services Clinic | Pediatric Palliative Program Director | Pediatric Rheumatology & Integrated Medicine  

Angela earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Utah following a seasoned career as an RN in a variety of pediatric settings. Her background has given Angela has a passion for providing top quality care to children, supporting cost-effective care options, and developing care models to provide for functional care.

In early 2016, Angela began the first clinic based outpatient pediatric palliative care program for Nevada right here at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. Angela serves as the Director of Specialty Services Clinic, Pediatric Palliative Program Director, and nurse practitioner for palliative and rheumatology patients. She is also a founding board member of the Board of Directors for Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.
