Environmental Services Specialist (Las Vegas)

The Environmental Services specialist role within our team is mission critical to the health and safety of the children we see every day at our clinic. Our Environmental Services team act as our first line of defense for maintaining clean and sterile treatment rooms and facilities for our patients and clinical team.

Perform routine cleaning tasks to keep the clinical area, business office, offices of physicians and other health practitioners, and the infusion suite clean and free of debris for our patients, their families and staff.

a) Understands and follows the manufacturer?s suggested timeframes on antimicrobial cleaning agents.
b) Completes and retains cleaning logs and ensures that janitorial staff documents the cleaning of required areas.
c) Cleans and sanitizes restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures.
d) Cleans, dusts, and wipes furniture: sweeps, mops, or vacuums floors; empties/cleans wastebaskets and trash containers; refills restroom dispensers.
e) Washes walls and equipment when required.
f) Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
g) Wipes surface areas, such as blinds, counter tops, doors, chairs, etc.
h) Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, follows directions, comprehension, reading, writing, and speaking.
i) Attends to emergencies when necessary.
j) Attends meetings when necessary or required.
k) Completes any classes necessary or required, including classes for cleaning methods and techniques and new products.
l) Supports and enforces all policies, OSHA rules, safety regulations and guidelines.
m) Handles biohazard waste properly.
n) Keeps clinic and other areas neat and clean at all times.
o) Maintains inventory of snacks for patients including: tracking expiration dates, labelling contents for allergenic ingredients, and restocks as needed.
p) Performs related duties as required.
q) Performs other cleaning duties as directed.
