SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring all accounting distributions are properly made and accounted for and manages all aspects of the general ledger. Assists with the monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting and analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Assists in the formulation and adherence of accounting internal controls policies and procedures.
b) Contributes in the process of reviewing disbursements, and ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of accounts payables and purchase orders.
c) Assists in the efforts of implementing new financial and accounting systems to enhance data integrity while improving productivity.
d) Participates in the compliance of debt-holders, including providing financial reporting, compliance material, communication, and other required documentation.
e) Manage journal entries, invoices, and reconcile accounts for the monthly and annual close.
f) Have complete responsibility and ownership for the month-end close process to verify and adjust account balances and to produce reports representative of the organizations financial position.
g) Assist with the coordination and preparation of annual and project based budgets.
h) Prepares and reviews required supporting documentation and financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
i) Reconciles and ensures compliance across accounting, billing, payroll, purchasing, and inventory management systems.
j) Reviews accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
k) Provide training and support for the accounting department with issues, questions, or problems as they occur.
l) Participates in the preparation for the annual audit.
m) Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
n) Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
