The Hemophilia Treatment Center of Las Vegas is Nevada’s only federally recognized Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) and is a program of the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.
HTC of Nevada is part of a regional network of over 140 treatment centers in the nation that specialize in providing individual services to children and adults with inherited bleeding disorders. Hemophilia Treatment Centers in this network abide by federal guidelines for the delivery of comprehensive hemophilia services as developed by the Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF).
Our treatment center receives federal funding to support the multidisciplinary specialty team that includes Dr. Bernstein, a Registered Nurse Coordinator, a Masters prepared Social Worker, and Physical Therapists. We provide family-centered, state of the art medical and psychosocial services, education, and research to persons with inherited bleeding disorders including hemophilia and von Willebrand disease.
Studies show that people with hemophilia who are treated at federally recognized HTCs have lower overall healthcare costs, lower hospitalization rates, less time lost from work or school, and lower mortality than non-HTC users.
