The third annual event raised $72,000 (and counting) which was a major increase in funding from last year when it raised $46,000.

For those who may not know, we partner with the Nevada Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation on this event. The proceeds are equally split between our two nonprofit groups. We use the funds to support our Charity Care Program. This fund is used to provide treatment to children (and adults through the Hemophilia Treatment Center) who are in need of treatment but are without medical insurance or do not have the ability to pay for treatment. Our goal is to never turn away anyone who needs the specialized treatment we provide through our clinics. With this fund continuing to grow, we won’t have to.

The Nevada Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation will use the funds to send kids to Camp Independent Firefly. This is a special medically supervised camp where kids (and their siblings) with inherited bleeding disorders get to enjoy the outdoor camp experience. There are physicians and nurses on hand (some from our clinics!) to help the kids have an enjoyable experience and also learn a little independence while dealing with their disorder. All kids are sent to camp for free.

Golf 4 The Kids and events like this take a lot of planning. For months, there were meetings to talk about how the event would take shape, which sponsors would help make it a success, how many volunteers would be needed, what prizes could be added to the raffle and so on.

Our heartfelt thanks to all those who made this event a huge success!!
