This past weekend Cure 4 The Kids Foundation was presented with the Winged Heart Award by the Clark County Medical Society (CCMS).  This was such a great honor! Dr. Bernstein and Annette Logan, President and CEO of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation accepted the award on the foundation’s behalf during the CCMS 60th Anniversary Presidential Installation and Dinner event.

The Winged Heart Award recognizes nonprofit organizations who demonstrate unwavering commitment to quality health care in Southern Nevada.

If you are new to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, here’s a little background. We were founded in 2007 by Jonathan Bernstein, M.D. Cure 4 The Kids Foundation operates two programs to serve those with medical needs. The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada provides diagnosis and treatment for those affected by cancer, blood diseases, rheumatological and genetic conditions as well as rare and ultra rare diseases. The Hemophilia Treatment Center of Nevada provides diagnosis and comprehensive treatment for those affected by inherited bleeding disorders around the state.

As part of the mission of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, all services are provided to those with and without medical insurance or the ability to pay for treatment.

Annette summed it up best: "To receive this award from the Clark County Medical Society, the most respected association of Southern Nevada’s best and brightest doctors, is truly an honor we will not forget.”
